Dayton Place Personal Assistance Program
In addition to our independent living apartments, our Personal Assistance Program offers apartment living with personal
services to residents who need or desire minimal assistance, while still maintaining a high degree of independence.
The program is directed by a licensed nurse who has extensive experience in the field of geriatric nursing. The Assisted
Living Administrator is responsible for the day to day operations of the program, and is assisted by a licensed nurse whose
duties include setting up medications for the residents, making sure their prescriptions are refilled and dispensed according
to their doctors' written orders, blood pressure checks, and acts as liaison with families, hospitals, physicians, and pharmacies.
Caregivers in our Personal Assistance Program are called Companions, and are certified by the State of Colorado to pass
medications to residents according to doctors' written orders. Companions also provide the assistance needed by our residents
participating in the program. These services are of a non-medical nature, and could include some or all of the following.
Security, privacy, independence, convenience, and friendship are just a few of the reasons to consider Dayton Place for
your next home.
